Benjamin Logan’s baseball team found its groove on offense and rumbled past host Greenon 16-7 Friday in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division contest.
The Raiders are now 9-4 and remain in first place in the CBC Mad River division at 5-4. The Knights fall to 3-10, 1-8.
Ben Logan built a 3-2 edge after the third inning. The Raiders worked out to a 5-4 lead after the sixth inning. They sealed the win with an 11-run burst in the top of the seventh inning to take an 11-4 advantage. Greenon scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but could not get any closer.
Offensively, Todd Coleman went 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI, Spencer Bycynski had a double and two RBI, Tyler Tevis went 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Zane Collins went 2-4 with double and two RBI, Austin Cline went 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI and Josh Whitten went 2-4 with a double and three RBI.
