Indian Lake’s softball used a strong offensive performance to put away host Urbana 19-7 in five innings on Wednesday in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division matchup.
The Lakers improve their record to 7-6 overall and 5-3 in the CBC Mad River division. The Hillclimbers fall to 3-11, 1-6.
Indian Lake held a 3-2 lead after the second inning, and then pulled away with a 10-run scoring burst in the top of the third inning. That gave the Lakers a 13-2 advantage.
Sammi Miller fueled the Lakers at the plate, going 4-4 with a home run, a triple and five RBI.
Also for the Lakers, Jordan Risner went 3-3 with a double and two RBI, Hannah Dye went 3-4 with a double and three RBI, Kylie Spiecher went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Taylor Dixon went 2-3 with three RBI, Tori Lones went 2-3 with an RBI and Ashley Franks had an RBI.
