Whitcraft, Tigers handle Cedarville 7-3

Spencer Whitcraft piled up 12 strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings of work as host West Liberty-Salem defeated Cedarville 7-3 in an Ohio Heritage Conference baseball game Tuesday.

The Tigers are now 10-4 overall and 7-1 in the OHC.

Whitcraft scattered five hits, allowed just one earned run and walked three.

The Tigers’ offense got started early with two runs in the first inning. WL-Salem scored twice in the third inning for a 4-0 cushion.

Cedarville plated a pair of runs in the top of the fourth to make the score 4-2.
