Chieftain netters fall to Stebbins, get win at second doubles

Stebbins’ boys tennis team picked up a 4-1 win over host Bellefontaine on Monday in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.

The loss drops the Chiefs to 0-6 this season.

Bellefontaine did pick up a win at second doubles for a highlight. The team of Min Lin and Dean Smith defeated the Indians’ Guthrie and Hoff 6-0, 6-0.

At first singles, Stebbins’ Brown beat the Chiefs’ Tyler Franz 6-2, 6-2, while second singles saw the Indians’ Talley drop the Chiefs’ Adam Verbsky 6-2, 6-0. Third singles action saw Smith defeat Bellefontaine’s Isaiah Brady 6-0, 6-3.
