Indian Lake’s softball team kept its bats hot and raced past visiting Urbana 18-5 in five innings Monday for a Central Buckeye Conference victory.

The Lakers piled up 18 hits to help improve their record to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the CBC Mad River division. The Hillclimbers drop to 2-6, 1-2.
Indian Lake raced out to an 8-0 lead after the first two innings. Urbana managed to plate three runs in the top of the third inning, but the Lakers came roaring back with seven more runs in the bottom of the frame. That gave Indian Lake a commanding 15-3 advantage and they never looked back.
Jordan Risner powered the Indian Lake offense by going 2-3 with a home run, a double and three RBI. Kati Bowsher also gave a standout effort going 3-4 with two triples and five RBI.
