Local tumblers compete at state meet

Gloria’s Tumbling Team recently competed in the USTA Ohio state trampoline and tumbling competition at the University of Rio Grande. All members of Gloria’s team qualified for the national competition, which will be in Louisville in June.

As a team, Gloria’s Tumbling received 11 trophies, three in double-mini, two in trampoline and six in tumbling.

Five members were recognized as making the all-state team for the 2014-2015 season. That group included Kylie Shoe, Abby Kite, Jaxon Heath, Khierstyn Branan and Allison Penny. Five team members were also awarded with an advanced patch for competing in the advanced level this year. That group was made up of Kite, Branan, Penny, Brianne Alig and Bailey Penhorwood, who also won a $200 scholarship at the meet.
