Raiders sweep Pirates in Micah Gregg event

Wet field conditions forced a format change for Benjamin Logan’s annual Micah Gregg Memorial Tournament on Saturday, resulting in the host Raiders playing a doubleheader with Riverside.

Cedarville was also scheduled to participate, but it was determined Friday that Ben Logan’s field would not be ready early enough Saturday to handle the full slate of scheduled games.

The Raiders won both games, beating the Pirates 7-2 in the opener and 18-8 in six innings in the second game.

Ben Logan is now 5-1 on the season, while Riverside falls to 4-4.

In the opener, the game was scoreless through the first three innings. The Raiders scored a run in the fourth for a 1-0 lead.
