Bellefontaine’s softball team used a big third inning to help put away visiting St. Henry Friday for a 6-2 non-league win at Blue Jacket Park.

The Chieftains even their record to 3-3 on the season.
“We played well tonight and were very aggressive at the plate leading to six runs,” said BHS head coach Katie Buffkin. “We also played tough defense.
“Savannah Bryson pitched a nice complete game and we also had nice defensive game by Carley Strzalka.”
Bellefontaine grabbed an early 1-0 lead after scoring a run in the bottom of the first inning. The Chiefs gained some breathing room after plating five runs in the bottom of the third inning. That gave them a 6-0 advantage over the Redskins.
