Host Riverside blitzed Perry 11-1 in six innings Thursday in a Northwest Central Conference softball game.

“It was very windy tonight and the girls played excellent defense,” said Riverside head coach Andy Phelps.
Riverside scored at least one run in every inning.
The Pirates piled up 14 hits, while also taking advantage of seven Perry errors.
Lauryn Davis went 3-4 with an RBI to lead the Pirates’ offense. Taylor Nichols had two hits and two RBI, Helena Faulder went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Abby Proffitt went 2-4 with a double and one RBI, Chelsea Giles had two hits and one RBI.
Jessica Davis went the distance in the pitching circle to get the win for the Pirates. She allowed five hits, struck out seven and walked one.
