Graham in control, Marysville making its mark

COLUMBUS — Graham, Mechanicsburg, Marysville and Urbana all moved wrestlers into today’s state championship finals at the Jerome Schottenstein Center.

Graham has a commanding lead in the Division II team race with 149.5 points. The Falcons are well on their way to claiming a record 14th consecutive state title.

Claymont is sitting in second with 109.5 points and Toledo Central Catholic is third with 80 points.

The Falcons advanced seven wrestlers to the championship semifinals and put five of those wrestlers into tonight’s state title bouts.

Competing for individual state championships for Graham tonight will be Eli Stickley (113), Brent Moore (132), Kyle Lawson (138), Micah Jordan (145) and Alex Marinelli (160).

Urbana’s Jack Harris (182) came up with a big pin in the semifinals over Alec Schenk of Perry and earned a spot in the state finals. Harris is the projected state champion. He was fifth last season.
