COLUMBUS — It was nearly a perfect performance for Indian Lake’s wrestling team here on the opening day of the Division II state wrestling tournament.

Laker seniors Heath Lange (145) and Reyse Wallbrown (152) both won their opening-round matches, while fellow senior L.J. Henderson (182) lost his first match before bouncing back with a consolation win.

“All three are still alive and that is the most important thing,” said Indian Lake head coach Scott Tressler. “Yeah, if we went 3-0 that would have been better. But we went 2-1 and that isn’t bad either. We have all three guys in the tournament and that is what matters.”
