Bellefontaine’s boys bowling team finished its season Thursday with a trip to the Division I district tournament in Beavercreek.
The Chiefs were unable to move any bowlers on to the state level. Bellefontaine finished 15th out of 24 teams with a total pin count of 3,972.
Kettering Fairmont won the district title with 4,444. Oak Hills was second with 4,418, Beavercreek finished third (4,367), Northmont was fourth (4,334) and Middletown placed fifth (4,311).
The Chiefs were led by Cale Sterling with games of 186, 183 and 226 for a 595 series. Dylan Legge posted games of 224, 215 and 153 for a 592 series and Cody Hullinger contributed games of 183, 171 and 213 for a 567 series.
Also for the Chiefs, Devin Legge had a 555 series (150, 195, 210) and Alex Richards recorded a 551 series (171, 179, 201).
