Ben Logan boys set for their first trip to state bowling tournney

Benjamin Logan has been one of the area’s top bowling programs since the sport was sanctioned by the Ohio High School Athletic Association eight years ago.

One thing the Raiders had yet to accomplish, though, was achieving a team berth in the state tournament. The wait is over.

With a fourth-place finish in last week’s Division II Southwest District tournament, Benjamin Logan’s boys bowling squad qualified for the state event. The Raiders compete Friday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

“It’s an awesome feeling to be able to accomplish something like this,” said sophomore Logan Wenger. “I knew at the beginning of the season we had great potential. I felt like we had a good chance to make it to state if we worked hard and bowled up to our potential.”
