Bellefontaine’s swim team was unable to produce any state qualifiers, but the Chiefs turned in a solid outing Friday and Saturday in the district meet at Miami University.
The boys competed Friday, with Isaiah Brady finishing 14th in the 100 butterfly in a new school record of 55.47.
Brady also finished 24th in the 100 freestyle.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Cayden DeMent, Josh Robbins, Adam Verbsky and Brady finished 24th and the same group took 20th in the 400 freestyle relay.
In the girls meet Saturday, the Chiefs’ Molly Schulz, Jessica Miller, Emily Fulmer and Emma Smith started out the day with a 13th-place finish in the 200 medley relay. The same group dropped two seconds off their time to finish 14th in the 200 freestyle relay.
