The emotion poured out of Benjamin Logan’s boys basketball team Friday after a gritty and inspired effort against visiting Indian Lake.

After trailing for three quarters, the Raiders used a fourth-quarter surge to pull out a dramatic 64-62 victory over the Lakers in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division battle.

The win also completes a turnaround for Ben Logan in the Mad River division. After going 0-5 in division play the first time through, the Raiders completed a 4-1 run the second time around.

“That’s why you play the game,” said Ben Logan head coach Dave Myers. “This is a big rivalry game and Indian Lake has been playing good basketball. We have too, though.

“I’m so proud of our guys. To go 4-1 after going 0-5 shows they didn’t quit. It really was a complete team effort tonight.”
