Triad’s boys basketball team found a late momentum burst to put away visiting Springfield Catholic Central 57-47 on Friday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
The Cardinals move to 9-10 overall and 6-7 in the league. SCC drops to 4-9, 3-7.
Catholic Central held a 10-9 edge after the opening quarter and outscored Triad 14-10 in the second quarter to lead 24-19 at halftime.
The Cardinals fought back in the third quarter, going on a 15-7 run to take a 34-31 lead. Triad locked up the win in the fourth quarter with a 23-16 scoring burst.
