Pirates overcome 12-point deficit in second half for non-league victory

Riverside’s girls basketball team put together a fourth-quarter comeback to bounce visiting Northeastern 43-37 on Monday in a non-league contest.
The Pirates (7-13) trailed 25-13 with three minutes left in the third quarter, but went on to outscore the Jets 30-12 over the last 11 minutes of the game.
“I am very proud of our girls,” said RHS girls head coach Corey Britton. “This group is a bunch of fighters. They never quit. We didn’t play very well for two and a half quarters, but they never quit. They just kept battling.
