RHS girls unable to stay with Cavaliers in NWCC tilt

Lehman Catholic’s girls basketball team handled visiting Riverside for a 48-21 victory on Tuesday in Northwest Central Conference action.

The Pirates drop to 6-13 overall and 2-3 in the NWCC.

Lehman took a 15-4 lead after the opening quarter held a commanding 26-8 lead at halftime.

The Cavs continued to dominate in the third quarter with a 13-3 scoring burst to build a 28-point cushion (39-11).

Monica Hurley led the Pirates with five points, while Brooke Hickey and Molly Harshbarger both had four points.

Riverside hosts Northeastern on Thursday in a non-league contest.
