A key third-quarter effort gave Indian Lake’s boys basketball team just what it needed to hold off host Riverside for a 60-55 non-league win Saturday in a meeting of local squads.

The Lakers have won two of their last three games to improve to 7-8 on the season. The loss drops the Pirates to 7-9.
Christian Grider fueled Indian Lake’s offense with a game-high 26 points and Brennon Lump poured in 17 points.
Indian Lake took a 15-13 lead after the first quarter and the Lakers remained in front by two points (27-25) at halftime.
The third quarter allowed Indian Lake to gain some breathing room. The Lakers outscored the Pirates 18-13 to open up an eight-point cushion at 45-38.
