Laker girls squeeze out 48-47 win over Raiders for season sweep

Indian Lake’s girls basketball team escaped with a 48-47 win over visiting Benjamin Logan on Saturday in a local Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division battle.

The Lakers move their record to 7-12 overall and 2-6 in the CBC Mad River division. They also defeated the Raiders 50-43 earlier this season.

Ben Logan drops its record to 5-14, 2-7.

Indian Lake ended the first quarter ahead 10-9, but Ben Logan went on a 13-5 run in the second quarter for a 22-15 lead at halftime.

“We got into some foul trouble in the first half and we had to slow the pace down, which is to their liking,” said Indian Lake head coach Tim McMahon. “In the second half, we played full-court man-to-man and got the game in our pace.”
