Riverside lifters fare well at Clark County Open

Ashtyn Defibaugh had a record-breaking performance to lead Riverside’s powerlifting team in the Clark County Open on Saturday at Kenton Ridge.

Defibaugh tied the meet record in the bench press in the 115-pound class. She then broke the meet record in the deadlift and combined total categories.

Ashton Woodell also had a good meet for the Pirates with a first-place finish in the 145-pound class.

Caitlinn Pepper was fourth in the 145-pound class and Cody Roby was seventh at 125 pounds.

For the boys team, Connor Bruce took sixth place in the 135-pound class and Aaron McIntire was fourth at 165 pounds.
