Bellefontaine’s girls swim team continued its impressive winter season with a first-place finish in a four-team meet Wednesday at Sidney.
The Chieftain girls tallied 74 points to easily defeat second-place Urbana (53).
On the boys side, Bellefontaine was third with 25 points. Sidney took first (76) and Urbana was second (39).
It was a record-breaking effort for the winning girls 200 freestyle relay team of Jessica Miller, Emily Fulmer, Emma Smith and Molly Schulz. Those girls set a new school mark with a time of 1:51, which was two seconds better than the previous school record.
