Indian Lake girls have trouble containing Warner, Redskins

IndianLake Lakers

Sara Warner scored a game-high 22 points to lead host Wapakoneta to a 61-47 victory over Indian Lake in non-league girls basketball action Monday night.

The Lakers fall to 4-8 with the loss.

“I thought we played pretty well at times,” said Indian Lake head coach Tim McMahon. “Wapak has a good team and the girls did a pretty good job handling the atmosphere there.”

Wapakoneta built a 33-22 lead at halftime.

“We had some good looks in the second quarter, but we didn’t knock them down and they went down and scored on the other end,” said McMahon. “We got ourselves into a little bit of a hole and had to play from behind the whole night.”
