A second-half comeback was not enough for Indian Lake to recover from a slow start Saturday as the visiting Lakers fell to Kenton 73-68 in a non-league boys basketball game.
The Lakers are now 5-6 on the season.
Kenton built a 17-8 lead after one quarter and the Wildcats led by 14 points (37-23) at halftime.
Indian Lake clawed back in the second half. The Lakers cut Kenton’s lead to nine (54-45) by the end of the third period.
The Lakers outscored the Wildcats 23-19 in the fourth quarter, but Kenton was able to hold on for the victory.
