Up and down night ends on a high note

Chieftains use 18-0 run in second half to quiet Indians

RIVERSIDE — On a night that had boths peaks and valleys, Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team tipped the game in its favor with a strong finish here Friday.

Leading host Stebbins by one point with 3:16 left in the third quarter, the Chiefs embarked on an 18-0 run that paved the way for a 56-45 victory.

Bellefontaine improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division. Stebbins drops to 4-8, 0-4.

“This is a difficult place to play and we knew we would get their best shot,” said Bellefontaine head coach Henry Stolly. “This is a good win for us, and we are glad we have this one out of the way.”
