Brown, Stierhoff and Saylor to enter Benjamin Logan Hall of Fame

Two former standout athletes and a longtime supporter of Benjamin Logan athletics will enter the school’s sports Hall of Fame on Saturday.

This year’s class includes Robert “Bob” Brown, Bob Stierhoff and Cameron Saylor. They will be recognized prior to the Raiders’ varsity boys basketball game against West Liberty-Salem. The ceremony will start at around 6:45 p.m.

A 1951 graduate of Rushsylvania High School, Brown was an avid fan and supporter of the sports teams at Zanesfield-Monroe, Logan Hills and Ben Logan.

From 1958 until 2000, he was a volunteer on the chain gang at football games. Brown has also served as a scoreboard and clock operator for volleyball games and the treasurer of the Ben Logan athletic boosters club.

Since 2000, he has raised the American flag at home football games as a member of the Zanesfield American Legion Post 599.
