Bellefontaine’s varsity girls and boys bowling teams were defeated by Stebbins in Central Buckeye Conference action Wednesday.
The Indians won the boys match 2,526-2,489 and took the girls match 2,295-2,226.
For Bellefontaine’s boys, Devin Legge had games of 236 and 206 for a 442 series. Cale Sterling rolled games of 233 and 192 for a 425 series and Devin Legge added a 182 game.
Haley Watkins had a 194 game and 354 series and Hannah Davis posted a 224 game and 352 series to pace the Bellefontaine girls. Haleigh Stafford had games of 166 and 181 for a 347 series and Allie Skelly added a 178 game and 326 series.
Bellefontaine did not have enough boys to compete as a full junior varsity squad. Caleb Wykstra had a 169 game and 313 series to lead the contingent of Chieftain bowlers.
Bellefontaine’s girls defeated Stebbins in the junior varsity match. The Indians only had two bowlers. For Bellefontaine, Heather Johnson had a 144 game and 281 series, Diana Devine had a 270 series and Angel Binfet added a 250 series.
