Ben Logan wrestlers finish fourth at Tippecanoe tourney

Benjamin Logan’s wrestling team showed signs of improvement by finishing fourth out of 17 teams at the Tippecanoe Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

The Red Devils won their own tournament, Miami East was second, Lebanon took third and the Raiders were fourth. Team scores were not available.

Leading Ben Logan with individual championships were Russ Hites (145) and Beau Swank (220). Coming in fourth were Derek Gamble (113), Tyler Thomas (120) and Dalton McCurdy (285), while Wyatt Prince (106) finished fifth.

“I sas happy for Russ and Beau,” said Ben Logan head coach Tony Grant. “Both wrestled well. Dalton is improving every week. Tyler Thomas showed some good things. We still need more consistency, though.”

Ben Logan is back in action Friday and Saturday at the Madeira Invitational.
