Indians cut down Triad 74-73 in overtime win


Mechanicsburg clipped host Triad 74-73 in overtime Friday to come away with an Ohio Heritage Conference boys basketball victory.

The Cardinals slip to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the OHC.

Mechanicsburg held a 38-35 lead at halftime.

The Cardinals then went on a 20-9 run in the third quarter to take a 55-47 lead.

Mechanicsburg trailed 60-49 at one point in the fourth quarter, but rallied back to see Luke Marsh hit a three-point basket with 31 seconds left in regulation. That forced a 67-67 tie and sent the game into overtime.
