Bellefontaine’s girls and boys swim teams represented themselves well in a field of strong competitors Friday at Wittenberg University.
The Chieftain girls placed fourth out of 15 teams, while the BHS boys took eighth.
“I was really happy with both teams in this meet,” said BHS head coach Sharon Lewis. “The girls finished stronger than their seeds, which boosted our overall place. The only league team ahead of the girls was Tippecanoe.
“It was also exciting to see the girls 400 freestyle relay team go out and win the final event of the night. The boys team was hurt by numbers, but impressed me in how dedicated they were to making their strokes stronger. That will greatly benefit them in the long run.”
