Riverside’s boys basketball team could not dig out of an early hole and that allowed visiting Lehman Catholic to grab a 65-45 win Friday in Northwest Central Conference action.

The Pirates drop to 2-5 overall and are now 0-2 in the NWCC, while the Cavaliers improve to 2-2, 1-0.
“The difference in the game was our lack of focus on defense in the second half,” said RHS head coach Daniel Hickman. “We had good focus in the entire first half, but I told the guys that 24 minutes of good basketball doesn’t get you a win. You have to put all 32 minutes together.
“We had some lapses and dug ourselves in a hole. My guys fought hard, though, and I’m proud of them.”
