Tippecanoe’s girls basketball team used a strong first-half effort to put host Indian Lake away early and run away with a 64-40 Central Buckeye Conference crossover victory Monday.
The Red Devils are now 6-1 on the season and the Lakers drop to 3-4.
The first quarter saw Tippecanoe race out to a 19-7 lead. The Red Devils outscored the Lakers 13-10 in the second quarter for a 32-17 advantage at halftime.
In the second quarter, Tippecanoe continued to extend its lead with a 16-9 run. That gave the Red Devils a 48-26 advantage.
Lindsey Chismar and Sammi Miller each had 10 points to pace the Lakers, while Caylee Wurster tallied eight points.
