A fourth-quarter rally fell three points short for Riverside on Friday as visiting Lima Perry held on for a 54-51 victory in a Northwest Central Conference boys basketball game.
The loss drops the Pirates to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the NWCC. The Commodores move to 3-1, 1-0.
“We gave up too many points in the second quarter and we gave up a lot of points off of turnovers,” said RHS head coach Daniel Hickman. “That was the difference for us.
“This is something we have to learn from. We need to clean up our mistakes, and then maybe we can start winning these close games.”
