Indian Lake’s wrestling team knocks off Marysville, Wapak in tri-meet

Indianlake Lakers

Indian Lake’s wrestling team didn’t shy away from talented competition Tuesday night and grabbed a big dual-meet win after defeating Marysville in a home tri-meet with Wapakoneta.

The Lakers went 2-0 by dropping the Monarchs 47-30 and handling the Redskins 40-23.

Indian Lake was supposed to compete in the Marysville Duals on Saturday, but the poor weather conditions canceled the meet.

Instead of losing out on quality competition, Lakers’ assistant coach Ryan Dickson called the Monarchs’ head coach Shawn Andrews and invited them to wrestle Tuesday at Indian Lake.
