Jackson Center too much for Lady Pirates

Riverside’s girls basketball team could not get on track Saturday as host Jackson Center ran away with a 47-13 non-league victory.

The Pirates are now 2-4 on the season.

Jackson Center ran out to a 13-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers outscored the Pirates 11-5 in the second quarter to hold a 24-5 advantage at halftime.

The Tigers continued to add to their cushion in the second half.

Monica Hurley sparked the Pirates’ efforts with four points, two steals and two assists. Aubrey Stephens also scored four points.
