Chiefs take sixth at Milton-Union

Bellefontaine’s junior high wrestling team finished sixth out of 16 teams with nine wrestlers Saturday at the Milton-Union Bulldog Invitational.

Versailles won the meet with 236.5 points. Northwestern was second with 121.5 points, Milton-Union was third with 119 points, Covington was fourth with 113 points, Northmont was fifth with 110 points and the Chiefs were sixth with 100 points.

Braden Jacobs was the lone champion for the Chiefs, while Dezmin Lyburtus and Trey Henderson both finished second. Dawson Miller added a third-place finish.

Indian Lake takes fourth at own meet

Indian Lake’s junior high wrestling team finished fourth out of six teams at its own dual tournament on Saturday.

For the Lakers, Andrew Moran and Cole Mefford both went 5-0 with three pins, Connor Dixon went 4-1 with four pins, while Dylan Knotts and Tyler Harvey both went 4-1.

WL-Salem was led by Gaven Anderson, who went undefeated with four pins to win his weight class. Going 3-2 with multiple pins were Garrett Predmore and Tevon McNutt.
