MacKenzie Brunswick and Kameren Haley each had 14 points as Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team beat visiting Springfield Shawnee 46-29 on Saturday for the Chiefs’ first win of the season.

Bellefontaine is now 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference.
The Chiefs took control early, outscoring the Braves 13-6 in the opening period.
Bellefontaine went on to lead 22-14 at halftime and 39-20 after three quarters.
Jazmyn Haley scored nine points and pulled down 10 rebounds to aid the winning effort for the Chiefs. Brenda Johnson chipped in six points and six assists.
