West Liberty-Salem will not have to travel quite as far this week for its playoff football game.
The Tigers, who had to drive 2 1/2 hours for last Friday’s game at Williamsburg, will play Cincinnati Summit Country Day at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kettering Fairmont High School.
WL-Salem beat Williamsburg 27-20 in its regional quarterfinal Friday, while Summit Country Day rolled to a 55-28 win over previously unbeaten Cincinnati Country Day in the first round.
This will not be the first time this season Summit Country Day has played a Logan County-area squad. The Silver Knights played at Benjamin Logan in Week 1, beating the Raiders 52-7.
Look for a preview of Friday’s game in Thursday’s edition of the Examiner.
