Coming off its first 10-0 regular season, Triad now sets sights on long postseason run

To this point, all of Triad’s expectations have come to fruition.
This fall, the Cardinals’ football team captured the school’s first undefeated regular season, their first outright Ohio Heritage Conference championship, a state playoff berth and the top seed in Division VII, Region 26.
There are still bigger goals on Triad’s list, though. The Cardinals have plans for a long postseason playoff run. Their first step is a rematch at home against fellow Ohio Heritage Conference foe Cedarville in a regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Saturday
“We want to win Region 26 and win a state title,” said 13-year head coach Payton Printz. “But our first goal is to defeat Cedarville. They are the only thing on the minds of our coaches and team.
“We realize that our long-term goals are not possible without beating Cedarville. If we are fortunate enough to win, then and only then, will we give any thought to our next opponent.”
