Former BL volleyball standout earns all-league honor for Owens



Former Benjamin Logan volleyball standout Ciarra Wirick earned first-team all-league honors following her freshman campaign at Owens Community College.

Wirick was selected to the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference first team by establishing herself as one of the top all-around players in the league. She totaled 776 assists, 337 digs, 233 kills, 49 aces and 38 blocks (five solo). She led the team in assists and aces, was second in digs, fourth in kills and seventh in blocks.

The Express ended the season 22-21 overall and finished third in the OCCAC with an 8-4 record.
