Rogan to replace Smith in Tigers’ baseball program

Rob Rogan could not resist the urge to return to varsity coaching.

Rogan, who has been a head coach in both baseball and basketball in the past, was hired Tuesday night as West Liberty-Salem’s baseball coach.

He replaces Toby Smith, who won 345 games in a 16-year run before leaving WL-Salem to take the head football coaching job at Bellefontaine.

“My main goal is to continue the success that Toby established here,” said Rogan. “Toby did a great job with the program and I want to keep that tradition going.”
