Chieftains stifle Red Devils in home finale

Bellefontaine’s volleyball squad came away with a win on senior night against visiting Tippecanoe in three sets 25-20, 25-20, 25-18 during a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division match Tuesday.

The Chiefs improve their mark to 12-8 overall and 4-5 in the CBC Kenton Trail. The Red Devils drop to 7-14, 2-7.

Senior Jazmyn Haley sparked the BHS effort with nine kills, 14 digs, two blocks and was 13-13 serving. Also for the Chiefs, Kenzie Brunswick had 12 kills and nine digs, Kameren Haley had six kills and six digs, Jordan Lininger tallied 12 digs, 25 assists and was 16-17 serving, Carley Strzalka tallied seven digs and went 11-11 serving and Amanda Case had five digs and was 11-12 serving.

In junior varsity action, Tippecanoe won 25-15, 25-21.

The Chieftains saw Caitlin Hollar record 10 digs and Monica Martz lead in serves and kills.
