Local girls come up short at district tourney

There were some solid individual efforts, but none of the six local girls who played in the Division II girls district golf tournament Wednesday at Pipestone Golf Course in Miamisburg was able to move on to state.

Indian Lake’s team played in the tourney, as well as Bellefontaine’s Chelsea McLaughlin.

The Lakers finished seventh out of 12 teams with a 374.

The top three teams and the top three girls not on a qualifying team earned trips to the state tournament.
