Local bowlers honored for winning state titles

T-P Lanes of Bellefontaine has enjoyed a long tradition of success with bowlers at the state tournament. This year, local bowlers had a state tournament of epic proportions.

Bellefontaine captured four state championships at the 2013 Ohio USBC men’s and women’s state tournaments.

The local state champions were honored Sunday evening at T-P Lanes. On hand were Mark Althouse of the men’s Ohio USBC association and Mary McClay of the women’s state association to hand out the awards.

Kalisha Hefner was the big winner. In only her third year of bowling, she was part of three state titles. She claimed the all-events handicap championship with a total of 2,516. She teamed with Brandy McCoy to win the doubles handicap title with a 1,609.
