Raiders can’t get on track against Knights

Benjamin Logan’s girls soccer team was unable to find its groove Monday as it fell 3-0 to visiting Greenon in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division matchup.

The loss drops the Raiders to 5-5-2 overall and 1-5-1 in the CBC Mad River division. The Knights are now 6-4-2, 4-1-2.

“We were very capable in moving the ball tonight,” said Ben Logan girls head coach Ryan Kerns. “The girls passed and communicated exceptionally well, which is something that we’ve worked toward on the training ground each day.

“This game represents a turning point for our program. We put up a solid fight against a very good Greenon side and we had them on their heels several times. The score line looks lopsided on paper, but we had our share of chances and we came out on top in the possession battle.”
