The Browns have made numerous head scratching moves over the last few years, but the one they did Wednesday takes the cake.
By dealing running back Trent Richardson to the Colts for their first-round pick in next spring’s draft, the Browns have essentially given up on this season.
Now, they have no legitimate offensive weapons. There is not one player on the team to get excited about. Season ticket holders should get a refund.
The Browns are turning into the Houston Astros of the NFL. They get rid of what little talent they do have to enter a never-ending cycle of “developing for the future.”
The problem with that is the Browns have not shown the ability to locate players in the draft that turn into difference makers. Remember, Richardson was their third overall pick two years ago. Now, they have already given up on him.
