Late burst helps BHS pull away for 3-0 win over Benjamin Logan

A second-half surge by Bellefontaine’s boys team resulted in a 3-0 victory over host Benjamin Logan on Wednesday in Central Buckeye Conference action.

The Chieftains bump their record to 3-2-1 overall and the Raiders drop to 1-6.

“I thought it was a well-played game by both teams,” said BHS boys head coach Steve Henry. “It wasn’t too chippy and the boys all played hard. Both teams really want to beat the other, because they all know each other.

“Coach Hughes is still dealing with some injuries to key players, but overall I thought that we played one of our best games. We still have a lot of room to grow, but this was definitely a positive step for us. And getting the shutout was really a boost for our young players, too.”
