Wildcats claw past BHS netters 3-2

The Bellefontaine girls tennis team fell to visiting Kenton 3-2 on Tuesday in a non-league matchup.

Bellefontaine recorded wins at second singles and first doubles.

The Chiefs’ Kenzie Collinsworth prevailed 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 over Breanna Alexander at second singles, while Bellefontaine’s first doubles team of Hannah Vance and Hannah Weimer took a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Calynn Morris and Kiersten Osborn.

“It was a very hot night and our girls battled it out,” said BHS head coach James Howell. “I was very pleased with their efforts on the court tonight.”
