WL-Salem girls win Ohio Caverns Invitational

West Liberty-Salem’s girls junior high cross country team won the Ohio Caverns Invitational on Tuesday to highlight the local squads in the field.

The Tiger girls won with 28 points, Bellefontaine took runner-up honors with 75 points, Benjamin Logan was third with 77 points, Springfield was fourth with 108 points, Emmanuel Christian finished fifth with 100 points and Indian Lake took sixth with 115 points.

The Chieftain boys led the area with a second-place performance. The Tigers finished third and the Raiders came in fourth. Team scores were not available.
