Indian Lake drops Riverside in girls golf


Indian Lake’s girls golf team kept its momentum going Friday with a 192-230 win over Riverside in a local match at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

Sean Pusey and Morgan Barnett were co-medalists with 43s to lead the Lakers. Kylie Speicher carded 44, Murphy Oberle had 63 and Ashley Wall added 65.

Riverside was led by Destany Jones with 54. Monica Hurley was one stroke behind with 55, Bailey Leonard had 58, Jasmine Bryant carded 63 and Dakota Roby had 70.


Pirates take second in quad-match

Lima Temple Christian’s boys golf team won a quad match over host Riverside, Calvary Christian and Upper Scioto Valley on Friday at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

The Pioneers won with 164, USV took second with 183, the Pirates were third with 204 and the Spartans were fourth with 256.

Ross Stevens paced Riverside with a low of 41. Landon Kelsey carded 48, Derek Kobylack had 55, Luke Lowery shot 60, Jared Trabert had 61 and Andrew Wright had 67.

For Calvary Christian, Peter Prince carded 56 and Luke Olsen had 58.

Temple Christian’s Isreal Whitman was medalist with a low of 39.
